The project Openness in wellbeing services counties examines the openness of key data sets in wellbeing services counties, such as purchasing invoice data, and identifies key data sets to be opened. The aim is to produce a snapshot of the extent and range of open data in different wellbeing services counties and to provide tools to promote data sharing.
Objectives of the project
- Produce a snapshot of the extent and range of open data in wellbeing services counties through data collection and interviews.
- Produce freely usable information presentations, such as visualisations, videos or slides.
- Emphasise responsible information sharing, in particular the protection and security of personal data.
The project will use a variety of methods to gather and share information and perspectives on promoting openness. These will be used to develop a set of indicators to support the monitoring of openness and its impact. The project will also emphasise accountability and accessible information sharing through different channels. This will create a basis for continuous improvement and strengthening transparency in the welfare areas.
Key measures and outputs
- Snapshot: mapping the current state of transparency of purchasing invoice data and other data sets in welfare regions.
- Transparency dashboard: a tool for monitoring transparency indicators to help organisations understand and apply transparency in their operations.
- Responsibility aspects: deals with emergencies, security and privacy.
- Methods: interviews, surveys and visualisations will gather the views of regional and national actors.
